Vivien - Virtual Event Designer

Working Window

Working Window

The working window is your canvas, letting you draw your events precisely and accurately with Vivien's user-friendly Wizards, tools, and drawing aids.

Click the tabs at the bottom of the window to choose a different view of the working area. For example, you can choose to draw your event on a grid outline or work with 4 different views of your drawing at the same time.

The Library Browser on the right side of the window lets you browse through 1000s of 3D objects to click and drop into your drawing (for example, tables, chairs, centerpieces, and lights).

The menus at the top of the window change depending on the tab that you select at the bottom. The Draw menu is probably the most useful because it contains shortcuts to Vivien's Wizards and tools.

 2D / 3D View

2D / 3D View

In minutes create accurate 2D snapshots of your event with Vivien's Wizards and tools.

  • Import floorplans from graphics programs or 3D objects from Google SketchUp, and then fine-tune them in Vivien. As with most CAD programs like AutoCAD and VectorWorks, Vivien opens and saves in the standard .dwg & .dxf file formats.
  • Click and drop objects from the Vivien library into your drawing
  • Identify capacity, layout, and safety issues
  • Set approved distances to meet your local fire code
  • Change table size, stage & podium placement, room layout
  • Use the synchronised Event Resources info to sort, cost, and price events
  • Export it as an Excel file and email it to your client to get preliminary budget / sign-off
  • Need to check sightlines? Click to see the 3D view, a sideways outline of your floorplan. This view lets you catch obvious obstructions (i.e., from AV equipment, lighting, staging etc.) and add or change seating, drape, and lighting / truss options.

Virtual View

Virtual View

  • Spin the room around to look at your event from any angle
  • Personalise the colour scheme and experiment with the decor
  • Experiment with lighting by focusing, adding colour and gobos
  • Email the file to a Lighting Designer for fine tuning with our wysiwyg program, the industry standard lighting design software suite
  • Save as a graphic to use in presentations
  • Email snapshots to your client and get their sign-off

Rendering

Rendering

Produce a picture today of tomorrow's event.

  • Use the Render Wizard to create photorealistic renderings of the event from any angle
  • A great upselling tool, the Render Wizard lets you show your client increasingly lavish images of their event in full colour
  • Save the images as graphic files on your computer (i.e., as .bmp, .gif, etc.)
  • Email the images to the project team (the client, venue, and all subcontractors)
  • Lets you brand and promote your concept, enhancing buy-in from the sponsor or client
